Our canopies are made from various materials, perhaps the most popular is a marine proofed acrylic which is a synthetic woven material, supplied in a range of finishes for outdoor applications.

It has a natural canvas appearance, perfectly suited to withstand the rigours of outside and marine environments.

Solution dyed acrylics are the most colour stable material with the highest UV resistance, giving a wide colour choice, high resistance against sunlight, putrefying agents, resistance to tearing due to stretching, atmospheric pollution, permits passage of air, weather resistant to extreme temperatures, tightly woven finish and having a high pick count.

When a cover is made, it may have slight seepage, at the seams for a short while.

Caring for acrylic to prolong its appearance over the course of its life, hose down regularly with fresh water, perhaps using a gentle brush to help remove any surface dust or dirt, preventing any dirt becoming ingrained in the weave of the fabric.

If need be, use warm water below 30 degrees, a soft soap solution, gently hosing out thoroughly after cleaning.

• DO NOT use a jet pressure washer
• DO NOT use chlorine or bleach
• DO NOT tumble dry or iron

For the best results we would recommend re-proofing after cleaning.

We do offer a cleaning service where we would be pleased to discuss with you.

We are confident in the our products and we offer a 5-year warranty on the fabric, against abnormal deterioration of the fabric, fibres and colour, subject to normal exposure and normal use. Warranty terms can be requested.

Other materials are available, widely used, Odyssey acrylic coated fabrics for small overall covers etc, Top Gun widely used for overall.

Summer/Winter covers on larger boats, being 100% polyester coated fabric, excellent strength, dimensional stability and resistance to abrasion, water, UV and mildew. Top Gun has been proven to operate at the lowest temperatures.
