English Braids D-Racer 16 – Dyneema Dinghy Rope with 16-Plait Cover

English Braids D-Racer 16 combines a high-strength Dyneema® SK78 core with a flexible 16-plait polyester cover. English Braids designed this rope for dinghy halyards and sheets where easy handling and tapering matter most.

The 16-plait cover creates a softer, more supple feel than tighter braid constructions. This flexibility helps the rope run smoothly through lightweight blocks, organiser eyes, and low-friction rings. It also makes tapering quicker and easier, helping to reduce weight at mast exits and block systems.

Dyneema® SK78 core delivers exceptional strength, low stretch, and minimal creep. Despite its lightweight construction, D-Racer 16 achieves breaking loads from 370kg at 3mm up to 1,910kg at 6mm.

This rope allows quick identification of control lines on deck. Its combination of strength, flexibility, and lightweight performance makes it an excellent choice for racing and performance dinghies.
