English Braids 3-Strand Matt – Natural Hemp Appearance

English Braids manufactures 3-Strand Matt Rope in Malvern, Worcestershire using modern spun polyester fibres and a traditional 3-strand construction.

The rope delivers the classic appearance of natural hemp while offering the durability of synthetic polyester. Its spun polyester fibres create a matte, textured finish and a soft, comfortable feel.

Unlike natural fibre ropes, 3-Strand Matt resists rot, UV exposure, and weather-related deterioration. This makes it suitable for long-term indoor and outdoor use.

The rope offers 7% extension at 50% of its breaking load and has a specific gravity of 1.38. It also resists acids, alkalis, and temperatures up to approximately 230°C.

English Braids heat-set the rope during production to improve stability and handling. The torque-balanced construction helps prevent kinking and allows smooth operation in use.

We have 3-Strand Matt Rope available  in ‘Natural Hemp’ in 8mm, 10mm, 18mm, 24mm & 36mm
