Description

Drennan AS4 Carp Pole Rig

The Drennan AS4 Carp Pole Rig is a strong, professionally hand-tied pole rig designed for catching big weights of carp on modern commercial fisheries. Built for demanding bagging sessions where strength and reliability are essential, the AS4 combines a robust carp float with heavier line and hook components to provide the confidence needed when targeting powerful fish. Its highly visible 2mm tip also makes it particularly well suited to larger hookbaits and positive carp fishing.

Each AS4 Carp Pole Rig is supplied on 3 metres of line and features a strong 8lb (0.22mm) mainline, 6lb (0.18mm) hooklength and size 12 barbless Wide Gape Carp hook. The AS4 float incorporates a tough, flexible Nickel Titanium stem that resists bending, together with a 2mm interchangeable Hi-Viz tip for excellent visibility. Available in 0.4g, 0.6g and 0.8g, the AS4 is an excellent ready-tied choice for match, pleasure and commercial anglers targeting larger carp with positive presentations.

Which Drennan AS4 Carp Pole Rig Do I Need?

0.4g – The lightest option in the ready-tied AS4 range, providing a more sensitive presentation while retaining the strength and durability required for bigger carp.

0.6g – An excellent all-round choice for commercial carp fishing, providing a good balance between stability, presentation and positive bite indication.

0.8g – The heaviest ready-tied AS4 option, providing additional stability and helping larger hookbaits reach the required depth more positively.

All three versions feature the same heavy-duty 8lb mainline, 6lb hooklength, size 12 Wide Gape Carp hook and 2mm Hi-Viz tip, allowing the float weight to be selected according to the depth, conditions and presentation required.
