Description

Drennan AS3 Carp Pole Rig

The Drennan AS3 Carp Pole Rig is a professionally hand-tied, ready-to-fish pole rig featuring a classic body-down float pattern that provides excellent stability and positive bite indication. Designed for commercial fisheries, the AS3 is a versatile choice for targeting F1s and carp, particularly when you need a stable presentation that can be used with a wide selection of popular hookbaits.

Each AS3 Carp Pole Rig is supplied on 3 metres of line and features a strong 7lb (0.20mm) mainline, 6lb (0.18mm) hooklength and size 14 barbless Wide Gape Carp hook. The float incorporates a highly visible 1.8mm interchangeable Hi-Viz tip, allowing the tip to be changed to suit different light and water conditions. Available in 0.4g, 0.6g and 0.8g, the AS3 is ideal for presenting maggots, casters, sweetcorn, soft pellets and small pieces of meat when match, pleasure or commercial pole fishing.

Which Drennan AS3 Carp Pole Rig Do I Need?

0.4g – The lightest AS3 option, providing the benefits of the stable body-down float shape while retaining a relatively sensitive presentation.

0.6g – An excellent all-round option for general commercial carp and F1 fishing, providing a useful balance between sensitivity and stability.

0.8g – The heaviest AS3 option, providing additional stability and weight for deeper swims or situations where you want to get the bait down more positively.

Whichever weight you choose, all three versions use the same 3m rig length, 7lb mainline, 6lb hooklength, 1.8mm Hi-Viz tip and size 14 barbless Wide Gape Carp hook.
